Bookwright

Policies

Terms

Bookwright is made by Atypic. Using it, and buying a plan for it, is covered by Atypic's terms of service, which apply to Bookwright in full. This page says what is particular to Bookwright. By making an account or buying a plan, you agree to both.

Plans

Bookwright has a Free plan and a paid plan, Pro. What each includes, and what Pro costs in US dollars, is on the pricing page and on your account page before you buy. A plan's limits count what you have: the books you own, and the diagrams in them. If you have more than a plan holds, after moving from Pro to Free say, you keep everything and can still open, edit and export it; you can't add more until you are under the limit. A book someone shares with you counts toward its owner's plan, not yours.

Paying for Pro

Paid plans are sold by Atypic through Link: Sold through Link, LLC, an affiliate of Stripe, is the merchant of record and resells Atypic's software. Link takes the payment, works out any sales tax, VAT or GST and shows it before you pay, and emails your receipts; your statement reads LINK.COM* ATYPIC. Your purchase is also under Link's terms. Pro is billed monthly or yearly, as you choose, and renews automatically at the same price until you cancel. If the price ever changes you'll be told by email before it applies to you, and can cancel before then.

You can cancel at any time from your account's Manage billing, or at link.com. Pro stays on to the end of the month or year you've paid for, and then your account moves to the Free plan. How cancelling and refunds work is in Atypic's refund and cancellation policy; Link may also refund within 60 days of a purchase under its own policy.

Your AI provider

The Director and its editors run on the AI provider you choose, with your own key or your Claude plan. Your use of that provider is under its own terms and its own charges, which are not part of any Bookwright plan; Bookwright doesn't resell model use or take a cut. What an AI writes can be wrong, or close to someone else's work: read what you accept, and what you publish is yours to answer for.

Your books

What you write, bring in or make in Bookwright is yours. It is kept and processed only to run Bookwright for you, never sold, and never used to train a model. When you bring in a manuscript or a picture, you confirm you have the right to use it. You can download a book whole at any time, and deleting it deletes it.

Your account

One person to an account, signed in with codes sent to an address only you can read. Don't get around a plan's limits with several free accounts. You can delete your account at any time from its page; if you have Pro, cancel it there first so you aren't charged again.

Privacy and help

What Bookwright keeps, and who handles it, is on its privacy page and in Atypic's privacy policy. For help with your account, a subscription, a refund or your data, write to support@atypic.ai; a person answers within two business days.
